Components

Scholarship

  • T.E.A.C.H. pays a portion of tuition and books. (T.E.A.C.H. pays up to a maximum of $160 per credit at each participating college/university).
  • T.E.A.C.H. provides a travel stipend each semester/term. T.E.A.C.H. also provides a release time stipend to the sponsoring center/group home.
  • Note: T.E.A.C.H. works with recipients who have grants/scholarships to maximize potential of both.
  • Sponsoring center/group home pays for a portion of tuition and books. Center/group home agrees to release time for recipient.
  • Center/group home providers pay for a portion of tuition and books.
  • Family providers/group home owners also receive the release time stipend.

Education

  • Recipient agrees to complete 9-15 semester credits in a contract year.

Compensation

  • T.E.A.C.H. provides all recipients with a bonus upon completion of a contract.
  • Center/group home provides recipient with a bonus at the completion of a contract.

Commitment

  • Recipient commits to sponsoring center/group home for one year after the completion of a contract.
  • Family provider/group home owner commits to continuing home program for one year after the completion of a contract.
